Kelsi Zahl

"For me, teaching yoga is sharing the art of living free - mind, body and spirit.  Guiding people to the edge of their comfort zones and breathing with them in that space is one of my favorite places to be.  I am a bit of an extreme artist, so I like to go all the way into the asanas and see what happens.  I like to dance on the edge of discomfort and find the breath there...this is how I teach."
Kelsi is a Nebraska native who has spent the last 10 years in California and Arizona pursing an acting career and studying Ashtanga yoga.  When Kelsi is not on the mat, she enjoys writing, singing, being in nature, cooking, making things and laughing.

Sarah Walker

"When my yoga journey began, I instantly knew that it was what I was destined to do, and that it would change my life. I was always an active youth, playing many sports, including volleyball during college."
"After I lost my athletic activity, I found I was losing my strength, my energy, and mostly myself. I had practiced yoga on and off throughout my 20’s, but didn’t truly grasp the full realm of what yoga offers. In late 2014, I found myself overweight and unhappy in a sedentary lifestyle, I knew I needed a change and nothing seemed to spark that for me. I started regularly working out at the gym, which seemed natural as a former athlete, but it wasn’t enough. I wasn’t changing anything within myself. A few months after that, I was asked if I wanted to attend an intro to yoga class, that happened to be with our very own Lynn Hancock. After that night I was hooked. Something finally clicked. I have continued a regular, almost daily practice since that evening, and not only has it changed my body, but along with that my mind and spirit. I am excited to share with others the love and support that this community offers. Let go, let live, let love!"
When Sarah is not on the mat, she enjoys being outdoors, kayaking, cycling, or hiking. Photography, drawing and other artistic activities
keep her busy, as well as lots of DIY projects and home renovations!

Stephanie Kelly

“I embarked on my yoga journey in the beginning of 2010, and have been actively engaged in my practice ever since. Driven by depression, and mundane day to day life routine, I summoned my out of shape chunky self, to search out something that might spark some hope in my life…..YOGA! I quickly realized that my mat was my sanctuary, and that my practice was providing me a platform to evolve, change, and eventually flourish. Self confidence, self discovery, self love, and happiness were just a few of the remarkable changes that began to take shape in my life.”

When she's not on her mat, Stephanie enjoys spending time with her husband and their 3 dogs. She loves being outdoors, working in her garden, tending her chickens, growing dahlias, riding her bike, and laughing out loud.

Brittany Ransom

"After several stress fractures and mental exhaustion from years of competitive running, my doctor advised me to give yoga a try. I attended my first class in 2010, and walked out with a sense of peace that I had only ever experienced while running. For the first time, I was able to get out of my head and into my heart. I enrolled in teacher training in 2013, and shortly after graduation I found out that I was expecting. I was so grateful to have yoga to guide me through each stage of pregnancy, all the way to the end. That is the beauty of yoga—there is always a place for you on your mat, no matter your age, size, shape or ability. I always remind my students not to take themselves too seriously and to have fun! Yoga is not a competitive sport, it is an inward journey. All you have to do is show up and the rest will come.”

When off the mat, Brittany loves spending her days with her wonderful husband, sweet baby boy and three dogs. She feels so blessed to be teaching yoga in her hometown, here at Yoga Story.

Arlen Goodyear

Inspired by author Stephen R. Covey’s quote, “Strength lies in differences, not in similarities,” Arlen began his yoga journey in the summer of 2014 appreciating that yoga accepts all bodies no matter how different they are. Intimidated by the chances of surrounding himself with perfectly, sculpted bodies, he attended his first class realizing quickly that being “on the mat” erased all fear, doubt, and judgment within him letting him spread with confidence, lengthen with strength, and fold with gratitude. Yoga brought more to him than the physical and mental advantages; with career relocations, he found friends, family, and community through yoga—a healthy support system to help him grow as an individual, personally and professionally.

When he's not on the mat, Arlen enjoys to cook, whether it is a complicated or uncomplicated process. “The simplicity of a grilled cheese sandwich that satisfies your hunger and offers comfort can remind you that life does not always have to be a stressful beef bourguignon."

HOT! ~ A power vinyasa class emphasizing a dynamic flow of challenging poses.  Level 2 classes are designed for those who have a good understanding of the basic yoga postures, and have begun to explore a wider variety of poses and styles.  The Level 2 student understands the relationship between breath and movement.
