Hot Flow

This class is taught by:

Camas Maroney

“I have overcome many health hurdles in my life. Having had 12 surgeries by age 12 and spending 1 year in high school in a wheelchair, I struggled to find a form of exercise that would work for me. Four years ago I moved to NW Arkansas and landed at Yoga Story with studio owner Cindee Joslin. Cindee inspired me to really practice Yoga. I soon learned that Yoga was the answer for me. Today I find “Peace and Strength” in my everyday practice and teaching. Through Yoga I love inspiring others to overcome their health challenges. I teach our students to cultivate strength in the body and a calming presence to the mind.”

When off the mat Camas enjoys volunteering at her kids’ school, spending time with friends, reading, gardening, cooking and traveling. She is a 200 hr certified Yoga Instructor from Yoga Story 200 Hour Teacher Training and an RYT with Yoga Alliance. Camas furthered her education with additional training by Ray Long, Jessica O'Keefe and Jaimie Elmer.

Stephanie Kelly

“I embarked on my yoga journey in the beginning of 2010, and have been actively engaged in my practice ever since. Driven by depression, and mundane day to day life routine, I summoned my out of shape chunky self, to search out something that might spark some hope in my life…..YOGA! I quickly realized that my mat was my sanctuary, and that my practice was providing me a platform to evolve, change, and eventually flourish. Self confidence, self discovery, self love, and happiness were just a few of the remarkable changes that began to take shape in my life.”

When she's not on her mat, Stephanie enjoys spending time with her husband and their 3 dogs. She loves being outdoors, working in her garden, tending her chickens, growing dahlias, riding her bike, and laughing out loud.

Sarah Walker

"When my yoga journey began, I instantly knew that it was what I was destined to do, and that it would change my life. I was always an active youth, playing many sports, including volleyball during college."

"After I lost my athletic activity, I found I was losing my strength, my energy, and mostly myself. I had practiced yoga on and off throughout my 20’s, but didn’t truly grasp the full realm of what yoga offers. In late 2014, I found myself overweight and unhappy in a sedentary lifestyle, I knew I needed a change and nothing seemed to spark that for me. I started regularly working out at the gym, which seemed natural as a former athlete, but it wasn’t enough. I wasn’t changing anything within myself. A few months after that, I was asked if I wanted to attend an intro to yoga class, that happened to be with our very own Lynn Hancock. After that night I was hooked. Something finally clicked. I have continued a regular, almost daily practice since that evening, and not only has it changed my body, but along with that my mind and spirit. I am excited to share with others the love and support that this community offers. Let go, let live, let love!"

When Sarah is not on the mat, she enjoys being outdoors, kayaking, cycling, or hiking. Photography, drawing and other artistic activities
keep her busy, as well as lots of DIY projects and home renovations!

Courtney Sturm

"My classes bring a mix of intelligent sequencing, internal depth, breath work and challenging movement that will leave you feeling both energized and grounded. I inspire my students to practice self awareness, confidence and self love on and off the mat. I promote fluidity through asana, letting go of the mental chatter while encouraging your own experience. I teach to all levels , meeting my students with no judgement I invite them to express themselves through a moving meditation that’s authentic to them."

Courtney grew up in Wichita, Ks. In 2004 she moved to New York City to pursue her acting career! As a performer with a dance background Courtney was naturally drawn to yoga. She’s been practicing for the past decade and began teaching in 2013 after completing her 200 hour RYT yoga training at Yoga to the people in New York.

Milo Fish

"Yoga is my moving meditation. It is my therapy. It is how I work through every challenge in life. Through yoga I have learned to be in the present moment, breathe through any of life’s challenges & keep my mind clear, calm.

Through my yoga classes I teach how to stay out of your head and be in the present. How to breathe through feelings so you can release them. How to keep a sense of peace through keeping your mind clear. Moving through a challenging physical practice can bring you to the place where you can begin to train the mind. I like to challenge the body to get to the mind. Your real power is in your focus, your determination. My passion is helping people learn to live in their power."

Off the mat Milo enjoys boxing, barre, strength training, reading (she reads 1-3 books a week!) and spending time with her family.

Sherry Fitzgerald

"I have been a health and fitness enthusiast all my life; actively taking and teaching various exercise classes since college. I started practicing yoga at home 20 years ago to help relieve neck and shoulder stiffness caused by
my working in an office all day. Little did I know how much more yoga would bring to my life! Not only did yoga release muscle tension, but I felt stronger and calmer which enabled me to deal with stress better. Yoga provides me a sense of balance! As a result, I have been practicing, discovering and learning about yoga ever since. I value how
yoga brings me fully present in the moment, while challenging me to increase my strength both physically and mentally - cultivating the mind-body connection. Helping others find their path and strength within yoga is what motivates me to teach. Favorite quotes to live by: “Live what you love.” & “You are stronger than you think.”

When Sherry is not on the yoga mat, she's reading a good book, spending time with friends or outdoors hiking or biking the trails of Northwest Arkansas and experiencing the adventures her two golden retrievers provide on daily walks.

Anne Suarez

"As an avid runner and fitness enthusiast, I walked into my first yoga class while on vacation in Colorado. I was curious to experience what yoga might be like. Could I become more flexible? Would I be able to move into the physical postures as instructed? It was during this yoga class within full view of Pike's Peak that something clicked from within my body--I felt connected in a profound way, breath, body, mind and spirit. As my yoga practice grew, I knew that I wanted to learn more about yoga. In 2014 I received my 200 HR RYT. Ever the student, I completed my 500 HR RYT with an emphasis on Yoga Therapy Level 1. Further studies include: Balanced Athlete Level One Certification, Yoga Nidra, Yoga of the Heart--Cardiac and Cancer Certification, and LifeForce Yoga Practitioner Training for Depression and Anxiety. I am grateful to the many wonderful teachers and students that I have worked with--the gift of yoga is meant to be shared."
When she's not on her mat, Anne enjoys spending time with her family and Westie, traveling, exercising, hiking, reading and being a foodie. Walking the Camino de Santiago de Compostela is her next major endeavor and dream. “Let the beauty of what you love be what you do.” - Rumi

Kelsi Zahl

"For me, teaching yoga is sharing the art of living free - mind, body and spirit.  Guiding people to the edge of their comfort zones and breathing with them in that space is one of my favorite places to be.  I am a bit of an extreme artist, so I like to go all the way into the asanas and see what happens.  I like to dance on the edge of discomfort and find the breath there...this is how I teach."
Kelsi is a Nebraska native who has spent the last 10 years in California and Arizona pursing an acting career and studying Ashtanga yoga.  When Kelsi is not on the mat, she enjoys writing, singing, being in nature, cooking, making things and laughing.

Benjamin Cary

I have a passion for helping people unlock their full potential through cultivating richer, less restricted, more self-actualized lives.  For a long time my life felt empty, so I tried to fill it with anything that I thought would make me happy; material things for the most part.  Instead, it made me feel overwhelmed, busy, stressed out, overstimulated and anxious.  So I learned how to create space.  With space I have the room to grow, expand, open my heart, and open my mind. In that space wonderful things have come into my life.  Now when I feel empty, I find space, and in the space, I am full.

Outside of yoga, Ben likes to play basketball, hike, backpack, and mountain bike. He also enjoys playing the flute and piano.
HOT! ~ A power vinyasa class emphasizing a dynamic flow of challenging poses. A vigorous practice-YOU WILL SWEAT! Monday 5:45 pm and Friday 8:45 am are 75 minute classes.
Recommended for experienced yogis, although beginners are welcome to participate keeping in mind modifications and pace for your level of activity. Bring a towel and water in a closed container.
