Kids Yoga

This class is taught by:

Lynn Hancock ~ Studio Owner/Director of Teacher Training

"My journey with yoga began in my early 20's as I was experiencing the stress of 'growing up' and had heard how relaxing yoga was. I started practicing in my duplex, with a book and magazines I bought. What I discovered, was a multifaceted practice with many branches, from challenging to peaceful and restorative. Yoga makes space for everyone. With each stage in my life, marriage and motherhood, I always found myself returning to yoga as I always felt grounded and challenged after I practiced. After discovering hot yoga, I was thrilled when Cindee opened Yoga~Story. When I teach, I love the look on someone’s face when they have done a challenging pose for the first time, open a hip, melt into the mat or make a surprising realization about self and ability. When they let go, their struggle becomes their strength."

Lynn enjoys spending time with her husband and son, running, cooking, socializing and enjoying everything that Bentonville has to offer. She began her yoga journey 13 years ago and left the corporate world to become an AFAA certified personal trainer and 200 hour certified yoga instructor.

Erin Truitt

"As a high-energy person, I was hesitant to try yoga 10 years ago as I assumed it would be too slow and easy and therefore unable to hold my interest as a workout. Little did I realize how trying something new would improve my focus, balance, flexibility, strength and posture while helping me discover a necessity in my life to slow down on occasion. The concentration and self-reflection required to practice yoga also prevents me from comparing myself to others as I am simply engrossed in breathing through the challenging poses."

Erin loves playing and being goofy with her two young girls, watching movies and TV shows with her husband, baking healthy homemade snacks, singing, teaching fun exercises to other moms, hiking any of the Ozarks' beautiful trails and long-distance running.

Casey Kuth

"As a full-time devoted wife and mom, I loved walking and being outdoors, going on adventures with my kids were my "workouts". As my children grew older, life changed and I found myself with more time to devote to myself. I began running!
Then I discovered yoga and I found that above any other activity, yoga could calm and energize me, and give me clarity and strength. So much strength that I was able to run 2 marathons injury free.
My practice has become a very worshipful experience, Choosing mantras that include bible verses are my favorite and always help me feel more connected and grounded and ready for my day.
I wanted to become a certified yoga teacher to share my love for movement and the power of stillness with others.
I hope to empower others through encouragement and gentle guidance. I love teaching beginners and introducing people to yoga!
I'm Excited about what the future holds, I welcome you to join in my wellness journey and endless pursuit of living a strong and courageous life."

When she is not on the mat, Casey loves her job at a local Elementary school, reading, running, playing outside, as well as spending time with her growing family!

Sharlotte Fedewa

My yoga journey began in 2008 when I found out that my college dorm offered free yoga classes -- after the first class, I was hooked. I loved the way my body felt after doing yoga. Even to this day, nine years later, I still love how I can always come to my mat and melt away the world for an hour or two. Yoga helped me concentrate better in school and manage the stress of my job. On my 22nd birthday, August 29th, 2011, my life took a life transformational turn when I dragged my sister Katie, with me to Italy for an intensive 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training. After a month of waking up at 6 am for the Ashtanga primary series and learning that yoga was much more than just asana, I became a yoga teacher. My life was absolutely transformed, and I decided I wanted everyone to feel the way I felt when I practiced yoga.

Besides yoga, Sharlotte loves hanging out with her family, her daughter, Roslyn, son, Sage and her amazing husband, Joshua. In addition to hiking, hooping, cooking, crafting, and (her very favorite) traveling! She's also learning to play the ukulele.
A 45 minute of fun yoga flow, interactive themes and yoga games.
