Yoga Etiquette

  • Please allow the class in session to finish before entering the studio. And Shhhhh! Please be quiet as they finish class.
  • We do lock the door to protect people's belongings once class begins. If you are more than 5 minutes late, please register for the next available class on the schedule.
  • Please refrain from wearing any scents such as perfumes, lotions or hairspray. Yoga, especially hot yoga, is best for you when your skin can breathe freely and release toxins. Wearing lotions and even deodorant will hinder that process, but if you must, please wear unscented. Strong scents may also bother those around you.
  • Bring in only what you need to practice with. No cell phones, please; allowances are made if you are on call or have a sick child.
  • We encourage our yogis to learn from all of our teachers – each one has a special gift when they teach.  Taking a class from a teacher other than your “normal” teacher may show you something about yourself, yoga or life that you never have discovered.
  • Please allow time to find a parking space and to arrive 15 minutes before class starts.
  • If possible, please use our online scheduling system to reserve a spot in class.  You won’t have to wait in line and it is easy and convenient!
  • Please leave your shoes in the foyer to keep the studio floor clean. We practice barefoot and spend a lot of time on the floor.
  • Children ages 10 and up are allowed to attend class with their parents, as long as they are not disruptive and can adapt to the warm environment.
  • Minor children ages 15-18 can practice without an adult, as long as a parent or guardian signs our liability waiver on the first visit.
  • There is no child care available at the studio.  Please do not leave children 6 and under unattended in the lobby.
  • Items left at the studio are held for 30 days.  After 30 days any unclaimed items are donated to local charity.
